Some of the ingredients may sound strange, but together they work! Most people that try it love it!
Ingredients
2 tbsp Worchestershire sauce
1 tsp lemon juice
1 tbsp pimentos
1/4 to 1/2 small onion, finely chopped
2 c. cheddar cheese, shredded
2 pkg cream cheese blocks, softened
small pecans, finely chopped
Directions
In a medium bowl, combine Worchestershire sauce, lemon juice and pimentos. Mix well and add in onion & cheddar cheese. Stir together until well mixed and coated. Add softened cream cheese and mix well. At this point I usually knead it with my hands to get it evenly mixed. Shape into a ball and coat with pecans. Refrigerate an hour or so. Serve with crackers.
(To coat with pecans, lay out a piece of wax paper on the counter. Dump the pecans on to the wax paper and roll the ball on top of the pecans until evenly coated.)
An alternative: omit the lemon juice and pimentos and add 1 tbsp milk.
